The Proverbs 31 Babysitter

A babysitter of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than what I can actually afford to pay her.

Her families have full confidence in her
    and lack no date nights.

She brings the children good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.

She selects snacks and draws with sidewalk chalk
    and works with eager hands.

She is like the merchant ships,
    bringing her quality library books from afar.

She gets to the house on time;
    she dishes out pizza for the family
    and portions out mashed beans for the baby.

She considers a sensible car and buys it;
    out of her earnings she pays for college.

She sets about her work vigorously;
    her arms are strong for her tasks.

She sees that providing childcare is mildly profitable,
    and her lamp does not go out at night if the baby is still crying.

In her hand she holds the dishrag
    and grasps the broom with her fingers.

She opens her arms to the sleepy toddler
    and extends her hands to the the kid who fell off his bike.

When it snows, she drives over anyway;
    for she is an excellent driver and values your scheduled events.

She helps the kids make their beds;
    she is clothed in machine washable clothing in case of an emergency.

Her families are respected at the city gate,
    where they may go out to dinner without worrying about the kids. 

She makes craft projects and photographs them,
    and supplies the children with art supplies.

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come and at the antics of the toddlers.

She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of the household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness, although we are fine if she grabs something from the pantry.

The children arise and call her blessed;
    the parents also, and they praise her:

“Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord (and loves our kids) is to be praised.

Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise on social media.
